The Lakeshore Avenue Corner Covers a Whole Felida Day Again

The biggest restaurant space at The Shops at Erickson Farms sat dark for most of the summer. Now it's open again as Lakeshore Kitchen + Cocktails at 10722 NW Lakeshore Ave. Its neighbors in the same row open early and close in the late afternoon, and Lakeshore covers the hours after that. Together they make this short stretch of Lakeshore Avenue a place you can use from breakfast to well after dark. This fall that matters more than usual, because a few county park dates in October and November change what a Felida weekend looks like.

A Room Built for More Than Dinner

The new restaurant is worth starting with because of the building it's in. Woodblock Architecture designed Erickson Farms in 2016 as six retail buildings on a 3.2-acre site. Several were fitted out for specific tenants. One was a 6,000-square-foot Mexican restaurant and banquet facility. That space became Los Potrillos, and for years it was the one room in this part of Felida big enough for a sit-down family dinner and a group event under the same roof.

Los Potrillos closed in early May 2026. The Columbian reported that the closure left a vacancy at Erickson Farms and got the neighborhood talking. A Reddit thread called "Felida business struggle" drew 53 comments.

A space that size doesn't fill quickly, and the new tenant's name changed partway through. In June, WhatNow reported that a bistro called Silk Nife was planned for 10722 NW Lakeshore Avenue, with no opening date announced. By mid-August, local food writer Jacob Thomas noted that the planned name had become Lakeshore. He said the restaurant would come from Pearl West Restaurant Group, the company behind Margarita Factory and Dosalas in Vancouver. The restaurant hasn't published an exact opening date, but diners on OpenTable record visits from September 28 onward.

OpenTable lists three dining areas: a dining room, a patio, and a 21-and-over bar. Lakeshore's own site adds private dining, a kids menu, and year-round outdoor patios. The banquet-scale room built for Los Potrillos is still a gathering room. It just has a new menu. On OpenTable, the restaurant says its goal is to "create a neighborhood restaurant where Felida comes together."

The Corner, Hour by Hour

Lakeshore is a few doors from two businesses that already kept the row busy in the mornings. Creed Coffee Co. is at 10718 NW Lakeshore Avenue. StarCycle Felida, an indoor cycling studio, is at 10714. Line up their hours and you get a Saturday that barely leaves the parking lot:

Saturday What's open on the 10700 block of NW Lakeshore Ave
7 a.m. Creed Coffee Co. weekend hours begin, drive-thru included
10 a.m. Lakeshore opens and weekend brunch starts
3 p.m. Brunch ends and happy hour begins at Lakeshore
5 p.m. Creed's listed closing time
6 p.m. Happy hour ends and dinner service continues
10 p.m. Lakeshore's posted Saturday closing time

Creed's own site lists 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends. The page isn't dated, so a quick check before an early run is a good idea. Lakeshore posts hours of 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, 11 to 9:30 on Wednesday and Thursday, 11 to 10 on Friday, 10 to 10 on Saturday, and 10 to 9 on Sunday.

Before May, the evening half of that table belonged to Los Potrillos. Over the summer, the row's day ended in the afternoon. With Lakeshore open, the block runs past dark again.

What the Room Serves, and When

OpenTable describes Lakeshore as casual American dining at $30 and under. The menu covers starters, salads, mains, and handhelds. Pork belly skewers, grilled ribeye, lobster mac and cheese, a hot honey fried chicken sandwich, and tacos are all on it.

  • Weekend brunch runs Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Lunch runs Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Happy hour runs Monday through Saturday, 3 to 6 p.m. OpenTable also lists a second late-evening window and an all-day Sunday happy hour.

The late happy hour times on OpenTable run past the closing times on the restaurant's own site, so the restaurant's posted hours are the safer guide. Reservations aren't required, but Lakeshore encourages them, and you can book through OpenTable. For a birthday dinner or a team party, the private dining inquiry on Lakeshore's site is the piece that carries on what the original banquet buildout was for.

Beyond the Erickson Farms Lot

The corner isn't the only place to eat in Felida. It's the one with the longest hours. A few other spots round out the options.

Señor Taps at 3600 NW 119th St. is a taquería serving Mexican street tacos, with a full-service bar. Its site posts daily hours. With Los Potrillos gone from Lakeshore Avenue, it's the obvious stop in Felida for tacos and a margarita.

Farrar's Bistro at 12514 NW 36th Ave. has been around since 2007, by its own account, and seats its patio when the weather allows. In October, a year-round patio like Lakeshore's and a weather-dependent one like Farrar's are two different kinds of evening.

The same short radius covers the active part of a weekend too. Felida Community Park is a 15.13-acre county park with two soccer fields, traditional and inclusive play areas, and a picnic shelter. In June, The Columbian reported that construction was nearly done on Clark County's first public cricket practice pitch, at the north end of the park off NW 127th Street. The county now lists the pitch as open during park hours on a first-come, first-served basis, with a one-hour limit when others are waiting.

Runners have a fixed Saturday slot as well. The Salmon Creek Trail parkrun is a free 5K every Saturday at 9 a.m., starting at 800 NE 117th Street. It finishes about an hour before Lakeshore starts serving brunch.

The Fall Dates That Reshape the Weekend

Clark County charges a $5 daily parking fee year-round at four regional parks: Vancouver Lake, Frenchman's Bar, Klineline Pond at Salmon Creek, and Lewisville. The fee is per car, and people who walk or bike in pay nothing. A 2026 annual pass costs $40. Several dates over the next seven weeks change how the closest of those parks can be used:

  1. Wednesday, Oct. 14, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The county's volunteer calendar lists a picnic table painting session at Frenchman's Bar.
  2. Friday, Oct. 16, 10 a.m. to noon. The Vancouver Lake Community Paddle Trip leaves from Felida Moorage and Marine Services at 4911 NW 122nd Street. Registration is full, and the Lower Columbia Nature Network listing points to a waitlist.
  3. Saturday, Oct. 17. National Take a Hike Day is one of the county's 2026 parking fee-free days at all four regional parks. It falls on a weekend morning, so free lake parking and Lakeshore's 10 a.m. brunch can share the same day.
  4. Saturday, Oct. 31. This is the last day picnic shelters at Vancouver Lake Regional Park can be reserved. It's also the last day of the seasonal rule that keeps dogs, other than guide and service dogs, off the park's beach and the turf around it. That rule runs April 1 through Oct. 31.
  5. Sunday, Nov. 1. With the seasonal restriction over, dogs can go back on the Vancouver Lake beach and turf for the off-season.
  6. Friday, Nov. 27. Green Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, is the county's next parking fee-free day.

Vancouver Lake opens at 7 a.m. and closes at dusk. As November days get shorter, a morning at the lake or Frenchman's Bar, then brunch or an afternoon happy hour on Lakeshore Avenue, fits inside the daylight. The restaurant's year-round patios keep the outdoor part of the day going after the beach closes.
